The Cellvizio Dual Band incorporates color into the state of the art in vivo molecular imaging system. This allows researchers to visualize both invaluable anatomical and functional information. The company is unveiling the new product at the World Molecular Imaging Congress, taking place in Dublin, September 5th to 8th.
"With the Cellvizio Dual Band, we can now offer laboratories additional information about live, in vivo cellular interaction that will provide researchers with the ability to observe anatomical and functional activity as it happens. The ability to see and monitor internal physiological processes at the cellular level helps researchers gain new understanding of the root causes of disease and disorders," said Sacha Loiseau, Ph.D., CEO and Founder of Mauna Kea Technologies. "This represents an important milestone for the company and demonstrates our ongoing commitment to remain at the forefront of innovation in the imaging market."
In vivo small animal imaging is used in pre-clinical research at academic institutions and biotechnological and pharmaceutical companies. Such experiments play a key role in neurological research of the deep brain and peripheral nerves, especially in the research of degenerative diseases such as Alzheimer's and Parkinson's. Other applications of Cellvizio Dual Band include cancer, cardiovascular, stem cell research, gene delivery and tissue engineering research.
The Cellvizio Dual Band offers researchers enhanced analysis opportunities through the utilization of contrasti agents while maintaining the same ground-breaking microscopic resolution as the family of Cellvizio probes used clinically today.
The system features:

Cellvizio Lab provides mini-invasive access any organ or tissue thanks to its ground-breaking micro-invasive microprobes. The applications range from cancer research to neuroscience, and include diverse subjects such as immunology, inflammation, functional imaging, or biomarker distribution.
Cellvizio Dual Band in vivo monitors colocalization and highlights cellular interactions as well as structure-function correlations.
Thanks to its widely used wavelengths, Cellvizio is compatible with many fluorescent dyes and proteins. Molecular markers like AvB3 Integrin dyes, Sytox Green, GCaMP3, (Neuronal function imaging) are just a few examples.
